How did you choose the name Bullfrogs & Butterflies?

The name Bullfrogs and Butterflies Company was born one night when I thought about the most important things in my life, my children.  I wanted to include them in the company as they were the inspiration.  My daughter always looks so free like she has wings that will carry her to a little fantasy world with rainbows and butterflies.  My three sons are always digging in the dirt and hopping around. They climb everything in sight and have no idea when they are covered in mud just like cute little bullfrogs.

Why did you decide to create the Stretch Mark Prevention Cream?

During my first pregnancy, the recommended weight gain was 30lbs. I knew I was in trouble when I gained 10lbs in the first 2 weeks! I would be expanding quickly and my skin would be stretching at a rapid rate so I tried stretch mark cream after stretch mark cream – too smelly, too greasy, one even gave me a rash. I decided I had to make my own. With a background in cosmetics, I mixed up a batch of ingredients that would work to soothe my expanding body. It worked so well, I never looked back!

Do you do animal testing?

Bullfrogs and Butterflies does not test its products on animals nor do we ask others to do so on our behalf. Please know we are absolutely committed to our no animal testing policy.

Are you Gluten Free?

Yes. One of the biggest cheerleaders in my life is my sister, who is gluten free.  I wanted to make a product that was safe for not only her, but other gluten-free mommas.

What are the active ingredients?

Hydroxyprolisilane CN is an active ingredient used to fight stretch marks. Hydroxyprolisilane helps increase the number and quality of collagen and elastin fibers to protect the rapidly expanding skin.

Hydroxyphenyl also know as SymCalmin is an anti-oxidant with an anti-histaminic activity that is used to calm the itchy skin as it stretches.

Are you phthalate, phosphate, parabens, mineral oil, or formaldehyde free?

Absolutely! We strive to make the safest, most natural product we can while making sure they are going to do the job they are supposed to do.

Why do you use Phenoxyethanol?

study conducted on pre-term newborn babies helped inform our decision to use it. A phenoxyethanol-based antiseptic is the preferred, gentle formula that’s quickly metabolized by even a premature baby’s system. Phenoxyethanol should NOT be ingested by ANYONE. We know it is not perfect, but no preservatives are and even alcohol can be harsh and has it’s limitations. Everyone reacts differently to a variety of skin care products, if you have a sensitivity to it, you should stop using it.

What products are you making in the future?

We are currently in the process of creating more products for mommies to be! And we would never forget your little Bullfrogs and Butterflies! They need to be pampered just as much as mommy does!

How long does a tube of Stretch Mark Prevention Cream last?

The more you use, the better it works. And don’t forget about your breasts, hips, and thighs. They get bigger as well!
